Children at the Library

Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver aged 18 or older when visiting the library during our elevated response to the coronavirus outbreak.

We enjoy having children at the library and believe that the library is a great place for kids to learn, play, and grow.  The decision to limit library visits by unattended children was a difficult one and was not taken lightly.

However, because the COVID-19 coronavirus can spread easily in close proximity, we believe this environment could put children at an increased risk for contracting and spreading the virus.

Children are still welcome to visit the Library with an adult parent/caregiver over the age of 18.  In addition to elevating our regular cleaning regimen, we thoroughly disinfect all shared, high-traffic areas daily. Out of an abundance of caution, we have also put away toys and games for the time being.

If your child is in need of Library services for homework or school projects, please contact the Library staff at 946-3432.  We are happy to arrange a time to assist them.
