Construction & Curbside Update – August

Our renovation project is making progress!  As we roll into August, our circulation desk is being updated, paint is going up on walls, and work continues on our new local history area.  We can’t wait for you to see it.

Construction is expected to last through October.  While construction is ongoing, the library building will not be open to the public.

We’re still offering curbside delivery of materials.  With curbside delivery, you can reserve items by phone (946-3432) or online (

As construction moves to the stacks, certain collections may be temporarily unavailable, but we’re ensuring that new books, large print, kids’ books, and more are always accessible and able to be checked out.

In addition to regular library materials like books, magazines, and DVDs, you can also pick up a free puzzle via curbside delivery – just ask!

We’ll gather your items and let you know when they’re available.  You can pick up your items Monday-Friday 10:00-6:00 and Saturday 10:00-2:00.  Park in one of the handicap parking spaces in the front of the building and call us to let us know you're here.

We'll bring the items out to your vehicle and give them to you using a contactless transfer stand.  Please remain in your vehicle while we bring out the items to help us maintain good social distancing.

While we are filling reserves as quickly as possible, we can't guarantee when particular items will be available.  In general it will take until at least the following day for reserves to be filled.  Please wait until we call you to come to pick up your items.

Our front book drop is open for you to return library materials.  The back book drops are still closed due to construction, so all items (including DVDs and audiobooks) can be returned in the front drop.

When items are returned, we are implementing a 72-hour waiting period to ensure that no potential contamination remains before we handle the items.  If you check your account online, you'll notice that your items won't be checked in until a few days after you've put them in the book drop.  Rest assured that if you put items in the drop, we will get them checked in, and you won't be charged a late fee!  We are not imposing late fees while the building is closed.

We will not be accepting direct person-to-person returns of materials as part of curbside delivery; please use the book drop instead.

If you or a member of your household is ill, please don't return your items.  Contact the library, and we will make arrangements as appropriate.
