Construction Update: The Road to Reopening

Day by day we see progress being made on our construction project.  Just the other day we peeked in and saw flooring being laid in the renovated Reading Room and windows going up in our new Teen Room.

Some books had to be boxed up and taken off of shelves for work to be done.  We’ve been working during the evenings once construction is done for the day to put those books back where they belong and get them back into circulation!

We are actively making plans and working toward reopening our building to the public.  Because we know that allowing patrons to freely browse is one of the best ways to make our collections available, we want to reopen as soon as construction allows.

With that in mind, we are planning to reopen the front section of the library building while construction continues on the back section.  This phased reopening will allow us to let you in to the building safely and as soon as possible, without having to wait for construction to completely wrap up.

While we do not yet have a solid date for reopening, we are looking forward to beginning that process soon.  We’re as anxious and excited to reopen as you are!  We will share details about reopening on our website and Facebook page as soon as they are available.

For now, we are continuing to provide curbside delivery to get items to you.  Give us a call at 946-3432 or visit your online account to place reserves.  And, as always, feel free to reach out for any other needs you might have.  We are here to help.
