Giving Tuesday is here! There are many ways you can help support local library services – the choice is yours!
One way to show your support for the library on Giving Tuesday is to donate to the Pulaski County Public Library's Gift Memorial Fund. This fund provides unrestricted support for library programs, events, and a variety of general needs. Donating to this fund is a great way to support immediate library needs.
While you don’t need a specific reason to give to the Gift Memorial Fund, you may choose to make a gift in memory of a loved one. An entry featuring the name of the donor and the honoree is made in the library’s Gift Memorial donation ledger. To donate, make your check out to the Pulaski County Public Library with a note stating that it is for the Gift Memorial Fund. You can mail your check to 121 S Riverside Dr, Winamac, IN 46996, or stop in and drop it off in-person.
You can also give to the Pulaski County Library Fund at the Community Foundation of Pulaski County. This is an endowed fund which is supervised by the Community Foundation. It provides the library with a regular monetary contribution based on the accumulation of donations. You can donate to this fund online at https://cfopc.org/donate.
Another way to support reading and early literacy in our community is by giving to our local Imagination Library program. Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children each month from birth to age 5. Our local program is a partnership between Arrow Head RC&D and the Pulaski County Public Library.
A $25 donation to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library sponsors a year’s worth of books for one child. To make a gift, write your check out to Arrow Head RC&D and send it to Arrow Head RC&D, PO Box 196, Winamac, IN 46996, or drop it off at the library. Include a note saying that your gift is for Imagination Library.
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. Launched in 2012 as a simple idea – to create a day that encourages people to do good – the idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
To learn more about any of these funds or if you have questions about how to give, call the library at 574-946-3432. No matter how you choose to give, your gift will make a difference. Thank you for your support.
