How do I place a hold or reserve on an item?
To reserve books and most other materials, click the My Account link in the main menu at the top of this page and enter your library card number. Then click either the 'Evolve Webopac' logo at the top of that page or the 'Advanced Search' link on the left to search for the item you want. When you find the item, click the Reserve link. You will see a message telling you that the item has been reserved. You may reserve up to five items at one time.
Once your reserved item is ready to be checked out, we will give you a call to let you know that it's available. You have five days from the time we call to check it out. After five days, we will return the item to general circulation to give other patrons the opportunity to check it out.
The only items that have a different reservation procedure are DVDs and Blu-rays. To reserve a movie, you must call the library and ask for a specific title. You may reserve only one movie at a time. If the movie becomes available before 3:00 pm that day, you must check it out on the same day; if it does not become available until after 3:00, you may check it out on either the same day or the following day. Reserved movies not checked out in the relevant timeframe will be returned to general circulation.
How can I see which items I have out and when they're due?
Click the My Account link at the top of this page and enter your library card number. The items you currently have out will be listed under 'Items on Loan.'
How do I renew an item?
Click the My Account link at the top of this page and enter your library card number. Click 'Renew' next to each item you want to renew. You will see a pop-up message telling you that the item has been renewed and displaying the item's new due date. Alternatively, you can call the library to renew your items.
Most items can be renewed two times. Certain items (movies, Playaways, Playaway Views, and other special items) cannot be renewed.
