Gale Courses is an online learning service that offers well-crafted lessons, expert online instruction, and interaction with fellow students.
It’s now available at no charge to all Pulaski County Public Library cardholders, thanks to a grant from the Pulaski Alliance for Community Education (PACE).
Through Gale Courses, you can access hundreds of online classes covering everything from health and wellness to creative writing, teacher resources, GED test prep, and more!
Each course runs for six weeks. The courses are entirely web-based with comprehensive lessons, quizzes, and assignments.
Students across the country take courses at the same time, and the platform provides the opportunity for local users to interact with far-flung fellow learners.
Dedicated professional instructors coordinate every course by answering questions, giving feedback, and facilitating discussions.
You can access Gale Courses anywhere with an Internet connection. You’re welcome to use the library’s computers for your studies, but you can also use your own computer, tablet, or smartphone.
To log in, all you need is a valid library card from the Pulaski County Public Library. If you don’t have a library card, you can get one by coming in to the library or by signing up on our website.

By the way, if you’re looking for more of an on-demand learning experience, check out another of the library’s online services, Lynda.com.
Like Gale Courses, Lynda.com features expert instruction on a wide variety of topics, but you can access any of its tutorials at any time—no course sign-up required.
Library access to both Gale Courses and Lynda.com is made possible by a grant from PACE.
