Virtual Programming: Week of July 20th

Here’s what’s coming up at the library during the week of July 20th.  Items with asterisks are live and require registration in advance.  All events and activities will be posted on the library’s Facebook page.

Emoji Book Monday (10:00 a.m.) Can you figure out the book titles using emojis as clues?

Superhero Q&A with Batman* (Tuesday, 10:30 a.m.) At this virtual kids’ program, meet one of the world’s most iconic superheroes – Batman!  Batman will talk about how he became a superhero and discuss the many different superheroes we have today.  Do you have questions about Wonder Woman’s lasso or the Green Lantern’s ring?  Come and ask!  Batman will be live in character and in costume with his sidekick Robin.  Kids are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superhero for this program, too!  Sign up for this program here:

Tour Tuesday: Great Barrier Reef (4:00 p.m.) Take a virtual tour of the world’s largest coral reef.

Wellness Wednesday: Eat the Rainbow (11:30 a.m.) Eating natural foods with variety of vibrant colors can improve your health and help add important nutrients to your diet.  Certified Health Coach Sandy Orsund shares tips on how you can “eat the rainbow” this summer.

Teen Zoom Chat* (Wednesday, 4:00 p.m.) Teens get to together to talk and hang out virtually.  Call the library at 946-3432 to sign up for this program.

Fairy Tale Quest Digital Escape Room (Thursday, 10:30 a.m.) A strange package is delivered to your door.  As you unwrap it, you find an old book. When you flip it open you find in the table of contents a listing of popular fairy tales....  Can you solve the mystery?

Creative Thursday: Creamy Chicken Carbonara (4:00 p.m.) Get creative in the kitchen this week with Creamy Chicken Carbonara.
