Kurt Vonnegut’s 100th Birthday

This November we are celebrating what would have been Kurt Vonnegut’s 100th birthday on Nov. 11th.  While the Hoosier author passed away in 2007, his legacy lives on through his writing.

Book Club (Nov. 3rd at 2:30) is reading Vonnegut’s 1962 novel Mother Night.  Copies are available to check out at the library.

We are also giving away a limited number of copies (one per household) of three other Vonnegut novels: Player PianoCat’s Cradle, and Slaughterhouse-Five.  To claim your copy, stop in and show us your library card at the main desk.

We’ll be observing Vonnegut’s birthday at Coffee & Conversation on Wednesday, Nov. 9th at 10:00.  Cake will be served alongside coffee from Chiro Coffee.
