Activity Room

The Activity Room is roughly 34’x22’ and has a maximum capacity of about 25 people.

This room is enclosed and has a built-in projector & presentation system.  Users of the projector may bring their own laptop or rent one according to the list of fees.

Non-profit groups may secure a basic reservation of the Activity Room at no charge, but are subject to fees for any additional options or items.  See the full list of Meeting Room Fees.

Tables and chairs may only be moved by library staff; they cannot be moved by users of the room.  Any setup other than the standard layout is subject to an additional fee.

Covered drinks are allowed.  Serving food is subject to a $25 fee.

Magnolia Room

This formal room is located upstairs in the original Carnegie wing of the building, overlooking the library's prized magnolia tree.  Elevator access to this level is available.

The central feature of the room a board table with seating for 14 and up to an additional 5 along the wall.

The room features a visual board, which includes a marker board and tackable surface on the inside of the door panels.  Dry erase markers, an eraser, and tacks are included.

Water bottles with lids are permitted.  No other drinks or food are allowed in this room without the express permission of the Library Director.  Upon request, available supplies include easels and a mobile lectern.  Free Wi-Fi is available.

Reading Room

The Reading Room is the library's largest meeting room, at roughly 50’x35’. The maximum capacity for regular patron meetings is about 40 people, with up 50 people if additional furniture is moved.

If design setup is specified in advance, library staff can arrange the three square tables in the room and/or bring out additional tables and chairs to meet the needs of the group. There are also two sofas and other tables and chairs in the room; an additional setup fee is required if these pieces need to be moved.

The Reading Room has large windows, a large countertop, and no running water.  Covered beverages (cups with lids) and food are permitted.  This room does not have doors to create a completely enclosed space.  Wi-Fi is available.

Tutor Room A

The library's large tutor room (Tutor Room A) is available during normal library hours.  Up to six people may use the room at a time.

This tutor room can be reserved up to 30 days in advance.  Complete your reservation using the online form.  On the day of your meeting, check in at the library's main desk to be let into the room.

Same-day requests to use Tutor Room A will be accommodated to the extent possible, but prior reservations take precedence.  Same-day users will be directed to fill out the online reservation form and specify a start and end time for their visit.  Special scheduling considerations must be approved by the Library Director or Librarian.

There is no fee to use the tutor rooms.  Users of the tutor room must follow the guidelines of the library's Public Tutor Rooms policy.

Bleach wipes for sanitization of furniture are available for patron use if desired.  Free Wi-Fi is available in this space.

Tutor Room B

Tutor Room B is available during normal library hours.  This room is one of the library's smaller tutor rooms.  It can seat two people comfortably; a maximum of four people can use the room at a time.

Three chairs are present in the room.  One additional chair may be added upon request in advance, dependent upon availability.

Tutor rooms require advance registration and can be reserved up to 30 days in advance.  Complete your reservation using the online form.  On the day of your meeting, check in at the library's main desk to be let into the room.
